Aly Ibrahim Maiga is a Malian journalist, blogger and journalism consultant who is passionate about investigative journalism, climate change and fact-checking. He has a degree in archaeological history, history and geography and another in communication, as well as a degree in multimedia journalism from the prestigious French journalism school ESJ LILLE.
He has worked as an editor at Radio Naata in Gao for 14 years and then founded his own media, the information and news website Askia 24. He has also worked with other media such as Studio Tamani, Radio Kledu, and Joliba TV.
He is currently in Berlin on a research fellowship on the mines that exist in protected areas in Mali and Côte d'Ivoire and pose a threat to the population and the environment.
