Nidal Ayoub

Nidal Ayoub is a journalist from Lebanon. She is a Lebanese University graduate (the Theater Department). She began her career in journalism in 2011, commencing at Al-Safir newspaper. She then moved to Al-Modon and then BabelMed. Later on, she started working as a freelancer in different media platforms such as Alarabi, Daraj and Megaphone.

She is a feminist activist who believes in social justice and fights against Capitalism, sexism, and racism. She works as a researcher for issues like gender-based violence and the problems that transgender people face in Lebanon. Apart from journalism, she often works on documenting violations against refugees and migrant workers in Lebanon, as well as producing videos that display their conditions.

She has held a number of workshops with marginalized groups about script-writing for movies, in addition to theater workshops.

She will use the knowledge gained during the Berlin Scholarship Program to protect herself, her colleagues and sources from digital threats.
