Aly Ibrahim Maiga ist ein Journalist, Blogger und Journalismus-Trainer aus Mali. Er befasst sich vornehmlich mit Investigativjournalismus, Fact-Checking und dem Klimawandel. Maiga hat einen Abschluss in Architekturgeschichte, Geschichte und Geografie sowie in Kommunikation; außerdem hat er Multimediajournalismus an der renommierten französischen Journalistenschule ESJ Lille studiert.

Maiga arbeitete 14 Jahre lang für das Radio Naata in Gao und gründete anschließend die Nachrichtenwebsite Askia 24. Er war für weitere Medien journalistisch tätig, unter anderem für die Radiosender Studio Tamani, Radio Kledu und für Joliba TV.

Derzeit ist Maiga mit einem Recherchestipendium von RSF und taz Panter Stiftung in Berlin. Von dort aus arbeitet er weiter an seinem Projekt über Minen, die in eigentlich geschützten Gegenden in Mali und Côte d'Ivoire liegen und eine Gefahr für Umwelt und Bevölkerung darstellen.

Aly Ibrahim Maiga is a Malian journalist, blogger and journalism consultant who is passionate about investigative journalism, climate change and fact-checking. He has a degree in archaeological history, history and geography and another in communication, as well as a degree in multimedia journalism from the prestigious French journalism school ESJ LILLE. 

He has worked as an editor at Radio Naata in Gao for 14 years and then founded his own media, the information and news website Askia 24. He has also worked with other media such as Studio Tamani, Radio Kledu, and Joliba TV.

He is currently in Berlin on a research fellowship on the mines that exist in protected areas in Mali and Côte d'Ivoire and pose a threat to the population and the environment.
